I’ve been a fan of the dream face app for a long time and my original review on the app store was that I thought the name might be doing it a disservice because there are so many hundreds of apps that are pretty much exactly the same thing with just slightly different templates of what to do with your video and dream face changed the interface style and gave you a lot of options that weren’t available on others with pretty good quality.
They’ve changed it three times since and it gets better every single time and they seem to be getting more respect and awareness in the market which is good. A while back they added a talking animal podcast preset because that was the rage for the week and it wasn’t bad. Might have even been the best out there at the time but people stopped wanting to do that after the first few so it faded away however they do keep adding additional features and filters and many of them are different and unique compared to all the other apps.
Whoever recently they’ve really done upgrades and they’re using some of the top engines for video and image manipulation and now they’ve added full AI conversational creation so I decided to give it a try. I wrote up a quick story with two people talking, traditionally one of the hardest things to get AI to do, and I had a conversation with dream face. I said I’m going to give you a script and photos of two people and I’m watching to make it into a studio interview and they did then I said combine those two people put them in a studio setting with time-based theme song and panin for the show opening. This is that video and that’s all I did. Their voice generation has gotten better although it’s still not as good as the dedicated software but it would have allowed me to upload my own audio if I wanted to. It also generated the first images for each of the 14 scenes and I could have changed them I could redo any of them but I just wanted to see how quick conversation would do and I’m really impressed.
I’m going to go back and update my review on the Google app store and probably use it quite a bit more for my two people conversations which I have every morning with my AI chatbot all about how time travel might work and other things that the universe hasn’t yet explained to us.
